Hailey Hyo is a proactive researcher and designer.

For her, it seems easier to take action right away than to think too much and be afraid of the results. She is agile in producing something tangible for the whole team to start with. The least possible word to match her is NATO (No action, talk only - famous Konglish word at work). When I worked with her at Samsung, she knew the latest trends in IT from her own experiences, which was of great help in doing benchmarking research. When the team and the project are in trouble, and when others try to avoid the problem, she raises her hand and bravely steps forward. I think this courage is the source of true proactivity.

When a project fails to solve a problem, it devises a new problem-solving method.

Creativity enables problem-solving in another way, which also stimulates the creativity of other team members to find breakthroughs.

3. Leadership
Leadership in the East comes from a spirit of sacrifice and confidence.

There is leadership when the confidence of the boss and the spirit of sacrifice for the juniors are combined.

Hailey Hyo came over from Seoul to work with me on a 3-month project to evaluate and redesign the Samsung mobile web browser.

Firstly, she is a really collaborative person and has a great sense of humour, which makes her a pleasure to work with, and a popular person around the design studio. She is incredibly hard-working, and never loses her focus, even at the end of 12-hour days shadowing participants all over London.

She has a deep understanding of designing for mobile in all form factors, having started out designing for feature phones. Hyo young had that instant ability to connect user research insights to multiple conceptual design directions, and this is the skill that comes from years of thinking about how mobile can support users in different contexts of use. I enjoy keeping in touch with Hyo young, and recommend her without reservation. - 2013-

Hailey hyo was a valuable member of the team I led while we were working at Samsung Electronics.
From 2005 to 2007, the team was small and undertook countless projects with a small number of people. She started as a junior designer, but not only was she responsible for a major part of the global UX platform that was released mainly in the European market, but she was also a bold and fast-learning designer who helped our team's fast capability growth. Thanks to this, we were able to achieve the greatest achievement in establishing our UX platform as Samsung's standard.
I've enjoyed working with her with a positive attitude and energy, and I'd like to recommend her to any organization that needs complex collaboration and rapid growth.
